Recomendaciones para la prevención de muerte súbita

demostrado distintos factores de riesgo para su presentación

y a pesar de las campañas masivas con difusión amplia de las

recomendaciones de AAP siguen habiendo prácticas inseguras,

que incluso se realizan en los centros hospitalarios. Por lo tanto,

es fundamental la revisión periódica en los diversos controles

del lactante menor para detectar factores de riesgo, educar a

los padres y/o cuidadores y corregir oportunamente. Además,

se deben realizar charlas educativas a los profesionales que

atienden a estos lactantes desde su nacimiento (matronas,

médicos, enfermeras).
